We recently moved within the city and hired Jay’s Moving to move our furniture and appliances. Because I have a piano, we were informed we would need four guys. We have heard many horror stories about moving companies - guys with big guts who show up late, track dirt all over the house, dent the walls, wander around doing nothing. We were unsure what to expect.
I am writing to tell you how pleasantly surprised we were. Our guys arrived on time - even a few minutes early. Their appearance was truly professional - uniforms and all. They were polite. They began hauling stuff out almost immediately. My husband even saw them run from the truck to the house to get more stuff! My grandmother’s piano arrived safe and sound in our new home, just a few hours later. We had problems with where to put a fridge downstairs - they moved it several times for us with no complaints. When they were finished, the gentlemen shook both mine and my husband’s hands and wished us much happiness in our new home, a nice touch.
I normally don’t write letters like this, however, with our move - we encountered many unprofessional people - the painter, the carpet cleaner, the cable guy etc., who add frustration and anxiety to an already stressful time. We were so impressed with our service from Jay’s Moving, we thought you should know. If we ever move again (which I hope I never have to!) - we would not hesitate to call upon your company again. We will also highly recommend it to our friends. It was money well spent.

I just wish to express my gratitude to the staff at Jay’s Moving for their wonderful service during our move from Edmonton to Winfield, B.C. on October 20th. All the staff we dealt with were very professional, prompt & courteous. As we were paying for this move ourselves (with no chance of tax relief), cost was obviously of great concern. Although Jay's was not the cheapest quote I had received, I chose your company mainly due to Ian McTaggart. Ian inspired confidence in your firm - I felt he would be there to assist us in any way he could - even going above the call of duty should the need arise. Other companies I called - when obtaining quotations - could not even come close to the service Ian provided us with. He is most definitely as asset to your company. The movers both in Edmonton & B.C. were excellent as well. Chris Brydges was the head fellow - unfortunately I cannot remember the names of the other two gentlemen assisting.
We have moved several times over the years - including an overseas relocation, so have had many experiences dealing with moving companies. No one can compare with the service we received through Jay’s. None of our items were damaged and all my plants survived which came as an enormous relief! I would not hesitate to recommend Jay’s in the future.
