Telemiracle Golf Classic

Next Year’s Event – 19th Annual Jay’s Classic June 11th, 2010

Jay's 18th Annual Golf Classic
Friday, June 12, 2009
Harbor Golf Club & Resort
Elbow, Saskatchewan

Mother Nature served up the best weather possible for the Jay’s 18th Annual Golf Classic at Harbor Golf Club. In all, 176 golfers enjoyed a relaxing round of golf, fellowship & friendly competition, followed by a steak supper, award presentation, prize draws and an incredible silent auction.

This was an exciting year for all of us as we were poised to exceed the one-half million dollar amount raised for Telemiracle over the past eighteen years. And indeed, thanks to the willing and generous support of our sponsor partners and golfers, we easily surpassed that magical milestone! This year’s tourney raised $81,207.10 for the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation—bringing our grand total to $570,434.59.

At the dinner following the tournament, Dennis Doehl, the owner of Jay’s, commented that when he started the tournament in 1992—he never dreamed that it would grow to become what it is today. In 1992, 65 golfers participated and raised $4,100. This year, we had 85 major sponsors, 170 hole sponsors, and the golf registrations were sold out by March 27th. It’s amazing what we have been able to accomplish together!

Telemiracle touches the lives of families every day in this province in immeasurable ways. It is a homegrown success story that truly defines the spirit of the people of Saskatchewan. We would like to thank everyone who contributed and participated— thank you for being a Miracle Maker!
